Order Food Online with a Flourish!

February 3rd, 2011 Posted in Japanese Food No Comments »

One of the prime reasons why the UK foodie portal Food Kingdom has become so popular is because it respects the dignity and sensibility of the user. Think about it. When you order food online from any routine food website, all you get is a fixed menu card from where you have to make your choice and then you have to place your order for them by paying the price upfront or on delivery. You might think that this is the right way to do, but then why should you have to restrict yourself within just the menu that they have given? Why can’t online à la carte menus be expanded to actually include what you really want to see there?

Food Kingdom understood this big drawback in the online restaurant industry and then came up with a brilliant plan which honours your respect in full measure. They have launched Dishpedia, which is already being heralded as one of the most interesting things to happen to the world of online food ordering.

Dishpedia could be considered as a complete encyclopaedia of food recipes. There are various cuisines here, including African, American, Argentinian, Bangladeshi, Brazilian, British, Cambodian, Caribbean, Chinese, English, French, Greek, Indian, Iranian, Irish, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latin American, Lebanese, Malaysian, Mauritian, Mexican, Middle Eastern, Moroccan, Nepalese, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, Thai, Turkish and Vietnamese. You just pick the country you want to taste the food from and then select from among the dozens of dishes that are featured in each category.

Or, you might just simply download the recipe of the food and then prepare it at home if you are so gastronomically inclined. It is your choice! Now, how is that for respecting your sensibility rather than shoving down your throat what a restaurant wants to serve you?

It doesn’t end at that. For most of these recipes, you can easily find a restaurant in your local area that makes this exact dish and then you can order it to be home delivered. Food Kingdom has tied up with some of the biggest restaurants in the East London and South London area, within the postcodes E1 and E8 for East London and SE1, SE8, SE13, SE16 and SE17 for Southeast London. These restaurants are constantly checking Dishpedia and duplicating dishes that are featured there, which you can place your orders for.

Some of these restaurants include big names such as Curry Express, Moja Indian Takeaway, Royal Bengal Indian Takeaway, Mango Tree Indian Takeaway, Home Chinese Restaurant, Noodle and Rice Chinese Takeaway, Royal Palace Chinese Restaurant, Thailand Restaurant, Poppy Hana Japanese Restaurant and so many others.

It is not just about these exotic cuisines either. On Dishpedia, you will find foods such as pizzas and kebabs and even such a lot of drinks. Even these are duplicated by wonderful restaurants in the East London and South London area such as Pizza Mania, Pizza Classico and Times Pizza.

However, the best part is here: Who creates all these recipes? These recipes are submitted by the users of Food Kingdom! Yes, it is people like you who submit their favourite food creations! And then those are lapped up by restaurants and so many people stand a chance to order those from popular restaurants. It is no wonder that many food enthusiasts in London are considering Food Kingdom to be their best shot at popularity.

anime pillows, Japanese style

February 3rd, 2011 Posted in Japanese Food No Comments »

KEY HIT Farewell to a Japanese-style S skerrick years of respect, the young Japanese eaned on the body of his friend and grabbed a cigarette from a pack available. “Hiro-chun, I can one of your cigarettes?” He asked, knowing there would be no answer. Others in the room _ a small lounge in the suburbs of Tokyo, surrounded by flowers and the smell of incense _ no. cringe in the corner of the room, the uncle of the dead girl was laughing with another family, drinking a glass of sake, traditional rice wine An aunt took a piece of sushi with chopsticks;. a young cousin was sitting on a chair, annoyed by the lack of action.
What happened last week, and it happens every week. There is death and grief, anime pillows buy-style. The corpse had been placed in the middle of the living room for three days at a body length pillow with dry ice. There was no coffin, and the young man’s face was uncovered. Family and friends surrounded his body with books and favorite images, a baseball, cakes, bottles of beer and of course a couple of packs of cigarettes. Hiro-chun was a healthy 29 year old drowned while snorkeling. His parents were devastated, but they had to fulfill social obligations and it was her role, was that guests who visited during the three days of mourning encouraged. Almost all Japanese cremated and Hiro-chun was no exception. The day of the funeral, his body was laid in a coffin and was in a crematorium, where Buddhist chants and prayers were the last taken spoken. The open casket was placed on a table in front of the oven, with personal effects around the body. The crematorium manager told the family he was the last chance to review and in tears, said the desperate mother Hiro chun a farewell, as the coffin slid into the incinerator. The family was upset, but they do not wait. Everyone is moving in an adjacent room, where food and alcohol are impressive, have stacked on multiple tables.
The guests knew that they were expensive _ much of it paid. Family, friends, ladies and gentlemen _ even family-chun Hiro out of respect and commitment. The funeral will cost about $ 40,000. “The whole family gathered friends and relatives and began to talk and laugh, because many of us had not seen for several years,” said a family friend of the festival. After an hour the guests were reminded in the room and the table that the cremation took place Hiro-chun was removed from the incinerator. Some of the coals and bones, which sat perfectly in place, was all that remained. The bones were sorted by crematorium staff and described from head to toe _ _ parents. Bones, which go into a special urn were picked from coals of close relatives with long sticks ceremony. The parents were invited to the bone if they wished. The boy’s father took a handful returned with him to Canada, the juggling in his hand as he stood to speak, said a family friend. At regular intervals for decades Hiro-chun family and close friends gather to remember with happiness the bright young man. The methods of using them to mourn his loss like us strange, but the pain and grief are feeling the same as any family would Australians. Raw Foods Diet to Live Naturally and Long

February 3rd, 2011 Posted in Japanese Food No Comments »

Ever wonder as to why the average age of the Japanese people is 92 for males and 94 for females? For that matter the average age of the people in so many other Asian countries where most live above 80 years. It can simply be pointed to their diet which includes a lot of raw foods. Raw foods diet is a revolutionary albeit a very old concept of living a healthy, clean and simple life which is in harmony with nature. Raw foods are very rich in dietary nutrients such as fiber, vitamins, minerals, and enzymes. Most people would have heard that the enzymes that are provided with raw food are usually flushed out along with all the vitamins and minerals when the food is cooked. However what most do not know is that when the cooked food is digested without these nutrients and the enzymes, the digestive process suffers and leads to disorders such as constipation, gastritis, and heartburns. Besides our bodies are just not designed to take in the kind of junk that is such a norm these days. The oxidants that are added as a result steadily destroy the body’s regenerative abilities and lead to severe diseases such as cancer and asthma. People who live on raw foods diet naturally have all these issues taken care of as the body gets what it requires. It is worth noting that people who live entirely on cooked food are the ones who face almost all the problems mentioned above apart from obesity and other chronic ones; while those who rely on raw foods diet are seen to experience almost no such issues while having existing health problems solved. Try some raw recipes and see the difference it creates in your life.

Amazing Japanese Skincare Miracle Treats a Variety of Skin Conditions

February 1st, 2011 Posted in Japanese Food No Comments »

Is there a secret Japanese skincare solution that can help prevent wrinkles, sagging and the other signs of aging? Well, it’s not much of a secret anymore. Scientific evaluation has proven the activity and effectiveness of a long held Asian beauty secret.

Wakame kelp is a variety of seaweed that grows in the Sea of Japan and in other areas around the world. It is prized for its nutritional value, a favorite food that goes well with fish. The leaves are large and green. The plants grow very tall and create underwater forests that are lovely to behold.

When it comes to Japanese skincare, the leaves were ground into mulch and used as a mask. The mask relieved sunburn and was sometimes used to prevent burning. It was used in traditional Asian medicine to treat a variety of skin conditions and to strengthen the hair.

Nutritional evaluations showed that the kelp is a good source of thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, vitamin B9 and C, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium and zinc. All of these perform different roles pertaining to the skin’s health.

The most recent research has shown that this little Japanese skincare miracle contains a compound called sulfated polyfucose, which protects the skin from damage causes by UV rays from the son and environmental pollution. Pantothenic acid also provides natural protection from the sun.

One of the biggest threats to your skin’s health is overexposure to sunlight. That’s why so many products contain a sun screening compound and an SPF rating. The problem is that many of the compounds actually cause the damage that we want to prevent.

Oxybenzone, for example, is commonly found in creams and lotions, because of its sun screening abilities. Researchers warned against its use from the beginning, since it is a derivative of benzophenone, which was known to have carcinogenic affects.

But, cosmetic companies went ahead and used it anyway. Now, researchers have shown that oxybenzone causes free radical damage and is a photo-carcinogen. When exposed to light, it damages DNA strands, pre-disposing the cells to cancer.

Now that we can get some natural daily protection from UV light, without using possibly hazardous sun screening compounds, our skin is safer. For long-term exposure to the sunlight, you should still use a zinc oxide sun-block, wear protective coating and not rely too heavily on any sunscreen.

So, that’s part of what the Japanese skincare secret can do, but there’s an even more exciting part that relates to aging. As we age, the levels or an important amino acid (hyaluronic acid) become lower and lower in the skin. That’s why you see many anti-aging products on the market that contain the amino-acid.

The problem is that an enzymatic reaction is the cause of the lower levels, so adding the amino acid doesn’t help. The enzyme just keeps going. Wakame kelp inhibits the activity and production of these enzymes by 52% after only 5 days of use, allowing the amino acid levels to return to those of a much younger person. That’s why I called it a Japanese skincare miracle. There is no single ingredient that is more effective.

The Introduction of Chinese Food

January 31st, 2011 Posted in Japanese Food No Comments »

When it comes to food, the Chinese have a common saying, “The masses regard food as their heaven,” which means that food is people’s primal want. It should clearly justify the importance that “eating” holds in Chinese people’s lives. Eating is not just meant to fill the stomach; having food at one’s disposal, being able to consume a good amount of food, and knowing what and how to eat are all viewed as a good “fortune.” Those who promote food culture often use the words of Chinese philosopher Confucius, “diet and love-making, all primal needs of every human being,” finding an aspiring and positive thought basis for such an epicurean lifestyle. There’s probably not another place in this world that has as great a variety of delicious fare as China. If judging by the art and techniques of cooking, aside from France and Italy, perhaps the skills of chefs of no other country can gain recognition from the Chinese.

Extremely developed culinary techniques can make seemingly inedible ingredients, to foreign eyes, into dish after dish of delicious treats by the hands of Chinese chefs. The Chinese cookbook also contains quite an extensive list of foods, including just about anything edible with very few taboos. The Chinese, who see eating as a fortune and life as an art, not only created various kinds of regional food styles in its own vast lands, but have also spread Chinese food culture to far across the seas. Today, in this world where even the farthest corners can seem as close as one’s backyard, Chinese food can be enjoyed in each and every metropolitan throughout the world.

Like many other countries with a vast territory, Chinese cuisines are differentiated largely by its northern and southern regional tastes. Although the best quality rice in China is grown in its northeastern regions, people in those regions, however, just as other northerners, prefer to eat pasta or pastry instead. In the north, classic dishes include Beijing’s lamb hotpot (fondue) and roast duck, and Shandong province’s Lu style cuisines. In the south, the principal foods (foods that are the main source of carbohydrates and dietary fibers, e.g. bread and cereal in the west) are rice-based. A relatively greater variety of dishes are found in the south. There you can find the hot and heavily spiced Sichuan food, Xiang (Hunan) food, sweet and delicate Huaiyang food and the Yue (Cantonese) style which are mosdy seafood and soups. Thus foreigners who have been to China are often pleasandy surprised by the great differences in taste and food types by region.

Having Chinese food not only indulges people’s sense of taste, the sense of sight is also entertained. The Chinese culinary arts rely on the canon of “color (aesthetic beauty), aroma, and taste,” missing any one element would not make a good dish. To make the food pleasing to the eye, usually the appropriate meat and non-meat ingredients are selected; it would include a single main ingredient and two or three secondary ingredients of different colors. Blue, green, red, yellow, white, black and brown sauce colors are to be mixed inthe right combination. Through proper cooking techniques, aestheticism in food is achieved. “Aroma” is achieved by using the right spices, such as scallion, ginger, garlic, cooking wine, aniseed, cassia bark, black pepper, sesame oil, shiitake mushrooms and so on, to stimulate the appetite with the aroma from the cooked food. When preparing food, techniques such as fry, stir-fry, roast, steam, deep-fry, quick-fry, simmer and others are put to use, with the goal of preserving the natural taste and juices of the food. One can also add the right amounts of soy sauce, sugar, vinegar, spices, spicy pepper and other seasoning, making the dishes taste salty, sweet, sour, hot and much more. With tomatoes, turnip, cucumber and other sculptural vegetables to create elegant and intricate decorations to the plate, and the use of exquisite fine china for dining ware, Chinese cuisines really become a true art form complete with aesthetic beauty, wonderful aroma, and great taste.

Americans rely on calculating calories and cholesterol content from food to maintain good health and a shapely figure.

The Japanese are into trying various health foods to preserve an everlasting youth. Different from both, the Chinese way of looking at health lies in its philosophy of “food and medicine sharing the same roots.” The firm belief that food has healing powers and therapeutic effects has led to the introduction of many edible plants and herbs. And with the benefits of disease prevention and health preservation, they have become regular dishes in Chinese homes. At the same time, there is the pursuit of refinement in cooking. The amount of food and mixing of ingredients is very essential, and it is recommended that meats and non-meats be used in combination. Whether making dishes or soups, foods with suited nutritional contents are put in combination so as to achieve the goal of balanced nutritional intake. And it is recommended to dine until the stomach is about 70% to 80% full, as this practice is passed down the generations as a secret to long life.

At the dinner table, the Chinese has their own set of manners and customs. When dining, the eater must be seated. When people of all ages and both sexes sit at the same table, the elderly must be seated with priority. One must eat food held with chopsticks; when having soup, a soupspoon must be used. There’s also to be no noise when eating and so on. These etiquettes have continued to this day, but the biggest change is none other than the fact that more and more Chinese have proactively given up the rule of “No talking when eating.” Indeed, when dining with the Chinese, one would frequendy encounter a dining environment full of chatting and noises. Many people who have their mouths full still intend to chat away. This phenomenon may be due to the reason that contemporary Chinese have come to consider dining as an important social opportunity. People need, at this time, to relax and talk about certain soothing and joyous topics to increase understanding between those sitting at the table.

In recent years, due to the accelerated development of industries and commerce, aside from traditional menu-ordered food services, Chinese fast foods have dawned onto the scene. And not only this, cuisines from every corner of the world have, one after another, made their grand appearances in all major cities in China; Italian pizza, French gourmet, Japanese sushi, American burgers, German beers, Brazilian barbeque, Indian curry, Swiss cheese and more. Anything one can think of can be found, a true all-inclusive list of dining choices. It justifies the saying “Eat in China” even more so.
